Continuing Centri Tech's efforts to advocate for low-income Americans' digital rights, this week, Centri Tech officially submitted comments to FCC Secretary Marlene Dortch about the Affordable Connectivity Program, following up on comments submitted in January.
Centri's comments stressed the importance of digital advancement–the notion that our country's efforts to fully equip its broadband infrastructure are only the first step in maximizing the opportunity for all Americans to live better, more prosperous lives. The comments also lay out our recommendations to maximize adoption of the ACP, including focusing on cross-agency collaboration, multi-cultural expertise of outreach grant recipients, and well-defined goal/metric setting.
